Dr Haylea Blundell
Dr Haylea Blundell had completed her masters of Dentistry at La Trobe University (Bendigo). In 2018 Haylea relocated to Brisbane to complete her specialist Orthodontic training (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry - Orthodontics) at The University of Queensland. Haylea was selected as a Resident Student Scholar applicant at the American Association of Orthodontics conference (2021), won third prize at the International Orthodontic Conference in Japan (2020) for her post-graduate research and was also awarded the Elsdon Storey Award through the Australian Society of Orthodontists (2021) for having the most meritorious research paper. Haylea has also obtained her Membership in Orthodontics by examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is certified with the Australasian Board of Orthodontists.
Upon graduating, Haylea moved back to her hometown of Bendigo and set up her own private practice. In addition, Dr. Haylea is an Associate Professor (specialist coordinator in Orthodontics) at La Trobe University for the undergraduate dental and oral health program.
Haylea has continued research upon graduating, with a second paper published in the AJODO (Aug 2022) and has two additional research projects she is currently working on with Dr Tony Weir.
